Lhakpa Chere Lhomi is 40 years old, and works as the third BHN manager. She’s been married for 16 years, and has two daughters and one son. Before working at BHN, she knit wool socks full-time for a living. During that time, she only made around $30 a month which didn’t help support her family. Now, her BHN salary helps purchase food for her family and pay for her daughter’s school fees. Lhakpa is extremely creative and hardworking. She loves teaching the BHN ladies how to make BHN bracelets for a living, and providing jobs for women. Her favorite part of BHN is the connection and unity between the BHN artisans. In the future, Lhakpa hopes to provide more jobs to underprivileged women.
